Bosnian-born rapper Geno, also known as Genocide, brings his own experience of war and displacement to “Still Free Palestine.”
A childhood survivor of the war and ethnic cleansing in
Bosnia who later lived as a refugee in Ireland, Geno has used his music to
address war, injustice, and civilian suffering.
Released in 2024, “Still Free Palestine” combines Geno’s lyrics with images of
Palestine in a lyric-video-style presentation.
The song condemns the killing of civilians and children in Gaza, calls for a ceasefire, criticizes Western support for Israel, and expresses support for Palestinian freedom.
Geno directly connects the subject to his own experience in Bosnia, giving the song a personal message from someone whose childhood was shaped by war, ethnic cleansing, and displacement.
