President Biden announced during a CNN interview on May 8,
2024, that the U.S. would not supply American weapons for an Israeli invasion of
Rafah, citing humanitarian concerns and the dense civilian population in
the area.
"I made it clear that if they go into Rafah, they haven't gone into Rafah yet
... I'm not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal
with Rafah." President Biden said.
This statement turned out to be a total lie.
On May 10, 2024, Israel invaded Rafah and shut down the border crossing, cutting
off vital supplies of food and medicine for Gaza residents.
Biden did nothing. Then, on May 13, 2024, it became known that Biden is sending more than $1 billion in additional war supplies to Israel, including weapons that are currently being used in the invasion.
