At Earth Future Action, we would like to officially congratulate Joe Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris, for winning the 2020 presidential election.
Our country is currently undergoing a historic emergency. 250,000 People have died from the Coronavirus so far and 1,000 are dying each day. By the new year, the death toll could be 300,000 if the trend continues.
Now is the time to come together, regardless of who you voted for. There is no solid evidence that election fraud took place. There would be cause for debate if the election results were close, but Biden won by more than 6 million votes. This is overwhelming evidence that Biden won the election.
George W. Bush has already officially congratulated Biden on his victory.
Karl Rove, a well known Republican politician and lobbyist, has stated that the election results are not going to be overturned. "Closing out this election will be a hard but necessary step toward restoring some unity and political equilibrium," he said. "Once his [Trump's] days in court are over, the President should do his part to unite the country by leading a peaceful transition and letting grievances go." (CNN, 11-11-20)
We urge all Americans, including Donald Trump, to accept the election. There is merit in accepting loss with grace. As Biden said in his victory speech:
"I’ve lost a couple of elections myself. But now, let’s give each other a chance."
So it is time to put aside our differences for the sake of the country. America cannot implement the solutions needed to save lives without leadership and unity. Are we going to let 250,000 more people die in order to contest the transition when the overwhelming evidence is that Biden won?
We were inspired by Joe Biden's victory speech when he said, "I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify." He also said, "And to those who voted for President Trump, I understand your disappointment tonight...let’s give each other a chance."
We are not blue states or red states. We are the United States. It is time for Democrats and Republicans to put aside their differences and reach across the aisle.
Biden and Harris are going to face a number of overwhelming challenges once they are sworn in in 2021. Probably some of the greatest challenges faced by any modern president. We, as a non-profit organization, are willing to offer our support. Especially in the matter of finding a way to provide all Americans in this time of emergency some kind of health care. Because you cannot deal with a pandemic if everyone doesn't have health care.
